I have had a love for music for my entire life. I come from a very musical family dating all the way back to great grandparents and maybe further. My Mother was a pianist and a great singer. My early childhood was spent watching my oldest brother touring the country and making albums in a contemporary country/rock/bluegrass band. I was always there for practice time and  really felt that one day it would be my turn.

My turn came in 1981 when I attended a talent show at our local High School. This is when I knew that Scott Coner and I were going to get to know each other. I don't know if he knew that but I was convinced that the next year I would be on that stage with him. Well, it happened I became friends with all of the guys in the band and they were kind enough to show me enough to get me started. From that time forward I was like a sponge, everyday after school was spent playing and learning my art. The next year I was on that stage and have played and wrote with Scott since. It is the foundation of our friendship, and I thank God for the friend that I have this many years later. We are determined to share what we have with the world. Music is such a big part of life, it can be inspiring, healing, comforting, and really sooth the soul. And that is what I hope every listener get's from our songs.

johnny_b_antique_300I have a wide range of musical influences. I have always loved the smooth jazz sounds of Larry Carlton to Joe Pass. I really enjoy the ripping rockers like Randy Rhoades,Eddie Van Halen, and the rest of the metal monsters. I have a great respect and enjoy the pioneers like Jeff Beck, JImmy Page, and Eric Clapton. I have a spot in my heart for country and bluegrass since that is where the roots began. I guess I am kind of different because I do not have a lot of boundaries when it comes to music that I enjoy. I feel that most all music has a place and I am open enough to give most of it a chance.

I am a graduate of the Musicians Institute Of Technology in Hollywood, California. I went to school in 1987 and it was truly one of the highlights of my journey. This is where I came to understand my instrument and the theory behind it all. I continue to learn and study so that I can continue to grow. I have played in several bands and at many different settings from clubs to churches. I hope to keep playing, writing , and performing for many years to come. I am certain that this music will be a blessing to many.
