ABOUT

I suppose in truth, I’m a singer-songwriter. But the song and its origin has always been my biggest interest. I began writing songs in my early teens but I’m not sure why I felt I was qualified to do such a thing. I mean, after all, I hadn’t lived long enough to have an opinion about much of anything.

I remember being in the truck with my dad and him talking to me about Tom T. Hall’s “Homecoming”. Even though I was just a kid, the song seemed to speak to me. And  after all those years, the song still speaks.

The chords, the melodies, the concept of the song itself are all part of the puzzle to me. Working with so many wonderfully talented people was an unanticipated blessing.
